Chris Jones Gaming was very sad to learn today that actress Elisabeth Sladen, famous for her portrayl of Sarah Jane Smith in Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures, has passed away suddenly today after a reported battle with cancer.
Most fans had no idea she was fighting this battle, so the news of her death has come as a genuine shock to all of us and I know that Doctor Who fans worldwide will feel both shock and sadness at this most sudden of losses.
Sladen’s character, Sarah Jane Smith, travelled with the Third and Fourth Doctors, before later becoming a very important part of the Revived Series, meeting the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors, whilst being part of her own successful Doctor Who spin off show, The Sarah Jane Adventures.
I’m genuinely shocked she’s gone, I found out only minutes ago and it really hasn’t sunk in yet. On behalf of Chris Jones Gaming, I’d like to thank Elisabeth Sladen for her amazing work on Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures, I know she’ll be very much missed by the fans.
Today was the day Sarah Jane Smith died and I can’t believe I’m saying it.

A lot of people have been thinking about Elisabeth lately, with the airing of the final series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, which she unfortunately never got to finish.
I know she’ll also be missed in 2013 when Doctor Who reaches 50 years.
