I have tried so many times downloading part one and two of ultimate universe 2.0. Part one comes out as a zipped file. Part two just crashes the screen if i click on it. Argghhhh!!
Glenn, UU2.0 Part 1 is NOT, and has never been a .zip file. The file you are getting is either incorrectly being saved as a .zip instead of .exe extension, or your not getting what you think you are for some reason.
I’ve read similar posts on other hosting sites about other files that are packed as .exe files. The references point to either the browser the person is using, the version of it, or the security settings, also potentially due to your antivirus/security software. As people normally “disappear” never to check back in on responses, there hasn’t been any feedback to help narrow down a cause.
Part 2 will NOT work without Part 1 being installed first, so a crash is not at all unexpected… you only have half the mod installed…
When installing patch you might encounter the following : directory does not exsist.
this happend to me and the reason was because
the dafault directory has a spelling error
it sais : bethsda instead of Bethesda , just put the: e , where it belongs and should be fine.
I downloaded the mod parts 1 and 2 and the 2.2 update but the game glichted alot so I thought I had to download the 2.2 mini patch It did improve it but the next day it the game started to glichted were it normaly giches.
If theres any other patches I can find to fix the problem please let me know.
Main places were the game gliches:
- When I play some of the orignial missions and historical battels the first ship in the fleet(no matter the clas) the captain always says enterprise even if its like a difiant class.
- Playing with up to four ships on the skirmish or any mode lags the game(extremely)
-When I play the mission “those in need” Archer always repeates the words “we can make it in time if we increase power to the main engines” and when if finish the mission the game crashes.
-(I don’t think this counts) When I press the 5 key to group my ships it dosent work on anything.
I’m not pointing out the faults I think it’s just my computer but If thers a patch to fix some gliches please let me know.
Besides all that playing with two ships on target parctice and some of the extra missions you guys created is very fun and the sound is good, nice job with the mod it dose look excellant.
